50th Anniversary Week on Responsible Business Conduct
The world is undergoing profound transitions (geopolitical, technological and environmental) that are creating new challenges and opportunities. In this context, Responsible Business Conduct is becoming essential. Companies must adapt to these changes, while governments must create enabling conditions. Fifty years after the signing of the Declaration on International Investment by OECD countries and the launch of the first OECD standard on the topic, the importance of corporate responsibility is more relevant than ever. OECD Due Diligence Guidance for a Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence
The OECD has published Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible AI, providing tools and content dedicated to the responsible use of artificial intelligence in enterprises, with particular attention to governance, transparency, human rights, and risk management across value chains. 20 April 2026
The OECD Forum examined opportunities for collaboration through sustainable and resilient supply chains, in the context of growing global demand for critical minerals, characterized by production concentrated in a limited number of countries and the vulnerability of a system exposed to significant geopolitical tensions. 28–29 April 2026
2026 OECD Forum on Due Diligence in the Garment and Footwear Sector
The event brought together over 900 representatives from governments, businesses and civil society to discuss a responsible and inclusive approach to the textile and footwear sector, with a focus on responsible supply chains, workers’ protection and the sustainability of the fashion value chain. 11–12 February 2026

Peer Review of the Italian NCP for OECD RBC
From 16 to 18 December 2025, a delegation from the OECD conducted a visit to the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (MIMIT) in Rome for the second Peer Review of the performance of the National Contact Point for Responsible Business Conduct. Key public and private stakeholders, including institutions, trade unions, business associations and civil society representatives, participated in the evaluation interviews. The report is expected by summer 2026.
14th UN Forum on Business and Human Rights
The NCP promoted Italy’s participation in the UN Forum in Geneva dedicated to the relationship between business and human rights, focusing on the challenges of the sustainable transition and corporate responsibility in contexts of global crisis. 24-26 November 2025

Seminar held at CNEL dedicated to the labour-related aspects of National Action Plans on Business and Human Rights, with in-depth discussions on labour protection and corporate social responsibility. 10 November 2025
OECD event dedicated to the coffee supply chain and Responsible Business Conduct. The meeting explored the application of the OECD Guidelines and due diligence tools in global value chains, with particular attention to human rights, labour and environmental sustainability. 10 October 2025
ASviS Live: Ten Years of the 2030 Agenda
The NCP participated in the ASviS event, dedicated to the tenth anniversary of the UN 2030 Agenda, highlighting the role of Responsible Business Conduct in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. 25 September 2025
Presentation of the “Cultivating Connections” Manifesto for the Mediterranean Agroecological Network
Presentation of the manifesto promoted within the AgrecoMed project, coordinated by CREA (member of the NCP Committee, representing the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry (MASAF)), aimed at fostering sustainable and resilient agroecological models in the Mediterranean and promoting Responsible Business Conduct in the agri-food sector. 25 September 2025
